Taking a Break for Christmas and New Year's

Happy Christmas and Merry New Year!

Ebb and Flo are taking a vacation from blogging until mid-January. Seems these two young grandmas, one Ummy, one Alisi, are plumb tuckered out with all the joy and happiness of the season and the grandkids. Plus, we still have to keep our kids and their mates happy at Christmas by at least giving them something worthwhile.

Ebb’s a bargain hunter, finding all sorts of goodies and great deals this year, having braved Black Friday. She's totally psyched about getting to play elf for her grandchildren.

Flo’s also a bargain hunter, and also giving mostly homemade gifts this year, and very proud of most of them! They include floral picture frames, decorated CD holders, books, along with some vintage pieces found at a great price!

So, until we see you again, please enjoy this wonderful season and teach the real reason for the celebration of Christmas to your children and grandchildren. You can bet that Ebb and Flo will be doing that here in California!

September 16, 2011 ebb~n~flo update/information

Hi y’all! This week’s update! Flo’s son’s birthday was this week – a big 39 for the boy! Now how can that be since his mom’s only 29? HAHAHA

Her son and daughter-in-law have both decided to go back to school and get extra jobs, which means more babysitting for this grandma. But she loves it, even though it tuckers out her old body. Her granddaughter’s a dream, and even when the baby’s a bit under the weather, she’s still an awesome child!

Ebb is elated at the homecoming of her two sons, Thomas and Nathaniel. They have been serving in Iraq for the past year. She is so happy they are back home with their wives and little ones. She can't wait for their visit to California soon! 

Ebb’s all moved in to her new house – now comes the sorting part! Good luck, Ebb!!! Classes have begun and work has resumed for her, and she still keeps going. Instead of Ebb, she should be called the “Energizer Bunny!!!”

Work continues on our books, with ideas ebbing and motivations flowing. Flo will be sending an email submission this weekend, and while that’s simmering with the publishers, Ebb and Flo will work on a couple of children’s books that have also been brewing! 

More later…we can’t think of anything else we need to gab about, other than how awesome it is to have fans like you! Just wait till you see the books we write…they're great, if we do say ourselves!

Ebb and Flo together again! We had a welcomed visit last weekend, and as usual, we had a blast! Ebb drove down from her home in northern California to Flo’s in central Cal. We talked almost all night, then just “hung out” like old folks do! We’re barely senior citizens, but we’re very old-fashioned: a tall cool 9non-alcoholic) drink, some popcorn or Taco Bell, and we’re happy as clams!

This visit was strictly for fun – we didn’t even discuss work topics. However, we did manage a small trek to meet Flo’s  new granddaughter. Oh yeah, met the parents, too, but to two middle-agers, the importance is always on the new baby.

Now that we have finally figured out this crazy blog business, we’ll try to keep you updated on our book, our lives, and of course, any new grandchildren that come along!

Newest News from Ebb-n-Flo!

Hello all…Ebb and Flo here.  We have been very busy in the last couple of months.  Ebb has a new grandson born December 16, 2010, and Flo has a new grandson, born October 30, 2010, and a new granddaughter, born January 9, 2011.  Not only are we prolific writers, but it seems we also breed well.

As for our writing, we are still in the midst of choosing a publisher for our book, and working on some other book ideas in our spare time.  Ebb’s busy with college courses, taking 15.5 units at her local college, and Flo has three Older Adult exercise classes per week, and has just taken a leave of absence, for lack of better wording, from her weekly Writing For Publication class. Her current plans are to write, submit, and get published as much as possible, as well as reorganizing her house. And of course, both Ebb and Flo are spending as much time with grandchildren as possible!

More and better news next week.  (Now you know why our second blog was so late in coming.  We’ve been inundated by future rugrats!)
